The vodka with nothing to hide

When it comes to sustainable production methods Absolut vodka has nothing to hide; leading the way with their sustainable production methods from seed to bottle. To bring this story to life BBH made a brand film using nudity to expose the vodka making process to viewers.


Tasked with amplifying the idea, we then took this notion of nothing to hide and extended it into a challenge for the viewer. Using AI facial recognition to playfully discover whether they had either a British conservativeness or Swedish open-mindedness to the nudity in the film.

Knowing that most of our audience would view the film on Facebook, we defined our whole process around making sure the tech could work within the in-built Facebook browser. Once the tech was defined - Swedish and British image recognition responses were then assigned, with shocked expressions being assigned to Britishness and vice versa for the Swedish reactions.


The final result was then released with much exposure (excuse the pun!) across media - with our facial recognition tool being an additional entry point into the conversation and another reason to watch the video.
